Stressful week

Right, I won't say much about this because its probably best I don't. But I think it's ok talking about it now it's over.

Basically we got told on monday that there was a chance of being made redundant at work, quite a few people and that they were going to make the decision on the people to go by today and announce it. So it's not been the best week ever and todays been the worst!

But thankfully i'm ok! Escaped it this time and I still have a job so it's all good. Bloody IT industry, there's just no job security generally, but i'll have to get used to it I guess!

Feel sorry for the ones who went, its a very harsh way to lose your job, especially at such short notice :(

I need a drink......

The Killers (continued)

Annoyingly, Mike didn't get any tickets... and neither did Stu... or most people it seems! Apparently all venues had sold out by like 9:30 this morning (half hour after lines opened).

Rock City being one of the smallest made it even worse! Why didn't they play the arena, why god why! lol

Oh yeah, by half nine there were also pairs of tickets going on ebay for over £300... yes three hundred pound... mental!

I might flog my four and go on that trek america holiday with the earnings... ;-)

The Killers and more..

Woohoo! Just got tickets to see The Killers at Rock City on 25th of November. I didn't post anything in advance about it because I didn't want to promote it too much ;-) Had enough trouble as it was, took 15 minutes of refreshing various websites and couldn't get through on the phone at all!

Fingers crossed for Mike, he's still trying and he needs two more tickets for him and Joanne! I got the maximum of four, for me, Claire, Surovy and her friend.

Can't believe they're playing Rock City, they could easily have filled Nottingham Arena! Gonna be soooo good though.

I probably haven't mentioned before on here either that I'm going to have a mental couple of weeks around that time in November... not only am I seeing The Killers now, but the week before that I'm seeing The Feeling at Rock City again on the 16th and Muse at the arena on the 17th!!!!!

I'm about doubling my total gig count in two weeks lol.

Mike's still trying.... :-| This isn't good.... I must have been very lucky, but he needs to get some too! I'm just worried they're gonna be sold out soon.

This weekend...

Well, since a certain person didn't turn up this weekend... not mentioning any names, I wasn't expecting it to be very exciting, but it wasn't too bad actually!

Had a good night at Loveshack on fri - it's starting to get like the days before uni at the moment, the amount we're going there again! It's all good though, you know it's always going to be class. Went in Saltwater too, a really really nice bar in the Cornerhouse that I can't believe we hadn't been in before! Got a cool roof terrace with its own bar and everything, getting a bit chilly for it though, shame we didn't go in in the summer!

Mike went to Manchester yesterday and I randomly went for a game of pitch & putt in Derby with Jim! lol. Never done it before, the nearest i've got is crazy golf... oh and a go on the driving range at Center Parcs (which didn't go well)... it was fun, but i've decided golf definitely isn't my game!

Today, been pretty bored, but not too bothered, I can live with one day! Did play badminton with Surovy at least so that was good.

I only seem to be posting at weekends at the moment! Probably because my weeks are that repetitive and boring there's nothing even worth putting on here about! I'll try and post more often, but it probably won't happen...
